This was probably one of my most dangerous acts in all of my years of Hiking. I remember sitting on the snowcovered banks of the East fork of Granite Creek taking my shoes off and rolling my snow pants up to cross the ice cold water which was somewhere between my knee and mid-thigh. Thank God their was no warm weather to make this crosing any worse or more dangerous than it was. Despite all of the crap I've had to put up with in life, I seriously think that there's a rotation of angels up there that watch over me when I do this dangerous stuff because anyone else would have had a bad accident if they did this stuff as often and as extreme as I've done it over the years.
