Loose Class 3? No Problem. No falls on this decent, but that doesn't keep me from wearing my helmet. If you fall off the summit of Mt Hooper, 100+ft of vertical fall is going to negate the importance of helment, however if you start tumbling down a 60 degree slope of loose shale and granite, the helmet give's meaning to the words second chance. If your up in remote areas like these climbing loose class 3 by yourself without a helmet and you have a bad fall you'll most likely die from head trauma before they find you--wear a helmet dudes and dudets! Life's all about 2nd chances if you get one.
